# Amounts and fees

> All amounts are in centimes. Understand amount, fees and total.

All amounts are in **centimes**. Multiply the dinar amount by 100 and send a whole number.

| You want to charge | Send |
| - | - |
| 1,500 DA | `"amount": 150000` |
| 1,499.50 DA | `"amount": 149950` |
| 15,000 DA | `"amount": 1500000` |

## amount, fees and total

| Field | Unit | Meaning |
| - | - | - |
| `amount` | centimes | Amount before the gateway fee. What you send. |
| `fees` | **DZD** | Your configured gateway fee. |
| `total` | centimes | Fee included. This is what the card is charged. |

Example from a real response:

```json theme={null}
{
  "amount": 1500000,
  "fees": 150,
  "total": 1515000
}
```

Here the payment is 15,000 DA, the fee is 150 DZD, and the card is charged 15,150 DA (`1515000` centimes).

<Warning>
  `fees` is expressed in DZD while `amount` and `total` are in centimes. Convert before you compare them.
</Warning>

## Allowed range

The default range is **50 – 1,000,000 DZD**, that is `5000` – `100000000` centimes. A request outside your range fails with `400 PAYMENT_INSTANCE400_AMOUNT_OUT_OF_RANGE`.

Responses and webhooks return `amount` and `total` in the same unit as requests.
